People with fake names online are bad, bad people and thus we should make everyone use their real name. I bet far more people with fake names are not bullies, than those with fake names that are. I bet far more people with fake names use them for good reasons than bad.

Facebook requires you to use your real name? How exactly do they require that? Personally, I tend to think no online entity has shown the ability to keep my information secure. Furthermore, facebook, apps and everyone except tom thumb seem to directly or indirectly make money selling my data.
You can say you require anything you like. I require you to guarantee with a large cash regard that I will never click on a link in facebook and end up having my computer zombified.
It has to work both ways. You can't say give me your real info without first giving people a safe medium to interact on and facebook isn't even close to that. Everybody knows the web was never built to be secure AND FOR GOOD REASON.. It is meant to be free. It needs a little chaos to keep the fear that controls us honest. Without Wikileaks would Egypt or Libya Happened?

One could argue that the best way to stop online bullying is to turn off the computer, tablet or phone, go outside and play. Go outside and play catch with your kid instead of wasting your life on stupid games. Teach your kids how to treat people.
It changes kids to expose them to the web. Social media and mobile technology has shown the ability to extend the mob euphoria.
Ask your teachers why authors have used pen names and other methods throughout history to hide who wrote what words? Freedom of Speech needs pen names.

BTW can a computer contain everything that is you? If not then how can what is presented online be considered real? Wouldn't it just be a blurry image of the real at best? A fictional character in a way.
